Victory Services Club Wins ‘Excellence in Wellbeing’ at HR in Hospitality Awards
The Victory Services Club (VSC) is proud to announce that it has won the ‘Excellence in Wellbeing’ award at the prestigious HR in Hospitality Awards 2025. This national award recognises outstanding workplace HR strategies in the hospitality industry and celebrates the VSC’s inclusive and team led approach to supporting its 140-strong team.
With a heritage rooted in serving members of the Armed Forces and veterans, the VSC has extended the same ethos of care and respect to its staff. Its wellbeing strategy is built around the four pillars of mental, physical, emotional, and financial health – with initiatives ranging from Mental Health First Aiders and counselling support to menopause champions, financial coaching, and monthly fitness sessions.
The Club’s programme is led by the HR team, shaped by staff feedback, and brought to life by dedicated Wellbeing and Inclusion Champions from across departments.
Mark Field, General Manager of the Victory Services Club, said: “We’re incredibly proud to receive this award – it recognises a culture we’ve built with care and purpose. This is a shared achievement, and I want to thank Jasmine Bosze and the entire HR team for their dedication, creativity and commitment. They’ve created an environment where people feel supported, valued and empowered to do their best work and that directly impacts the exceptional service we give to our members.”
The judges commented: “This entry admits they started from a low base with zero budget and disengaged teams. From there, they developed a very well thought through and joined-up strategy that engaged all stakeholders. The HR team became visible and supportive, helping to change the culture to one that is more transparent and open. Their staff don’t just benefit from the programme—they shape it. The results speak for themselves: staff turnover dropped from 50% in July 2023 to 16% in May 2025, with zero turnover at Head of Department level. The vision was clear – if we care for our staff, they will take care of our 63,500+ members.”
The award was presented at the HR in Hospitality Awards ceremony on Friday 12th September celebrating the people and organisations driving positive change across the hospitality sector.
