Hospitality Assured, the Standard for Service and Business Excellence is owned by the Institute of Hospitality and run under licence by Hospitality Limited.  

Hospitality Assured was created for the industry, by the industry, and the development of The Standard was undertaken in co-operation with the University of Surrey, who reviewed a range of practices across businesses in the service sector and the specification incorporates the EFQM’s excellence concepts. 

The Standard is fully endorsed by the British Quality Foundation as meeting the criteria in the EFQM Excellence Model that is owned by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM).  The Standard can be applied to any business.

Hospitality Assured is a Business-to-Business Standard and the process of achieving the Award is an indication of striving for world-class performance. 

The Institute of Hospitality is the international hospitality professional membership body for managers and aspiring managers who work and study in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries. Established in 1938, they support more than 10,000 hospitality professionals in 100 countries to grow their knowledge, professional profile and expertise by offering a wide range of high quality membership services. These include targeted and regular industry networking events, hospitality qualifications and extensive online quality resources such as free management guides, Hospitality Quarterly magazine, regular webinars, ebooks and ejournals.
