Excellence in sustainability reaches new heights
A winner of the Hospitality Assured Excellence in Sustainability Award shows how to stay on top.
The Victory Services Club is going to great lengths to use every available space to support their passion for the environment and sustainability.
Springing into action
Here the chefs are preparing the roof garden for their Spring planting of vegetables, herbs and salads. They enjoy incorporating fresh produce into their flavoursome menus so their guests can savour local sustainable food. And this is all taking place right in the heart of London.
Sustainability is a key element in the process of gaining Hospitality Assured accreditation – something the Victory Services Club are always keen to put into practice. Their rooftop planting is just one of the many initiatives making them a winner of the Excellence in Sustainability Award. As always, the whole team shows commitment to the Club’s core aims which is all part of the HA process. By working so effectively together they continually share ideas to innovate and incorporate sustainability wherever they can.
Over and above
Following their successes with sustainability, we also think they deserve a special mention for keeping us well entertained during lockdown. So here’s a huge thank you from us to Mark, the VSC team and their members. The Club has remained open for key workers throughout the past year. Always on their toes, the F&B team have been sharing the favourite recipes and cocktails of their members and guests. Furthermore, the team have created wine & dine at home events to ensure we continue to be well catered for. As you might expect, their dine at home dishes recommend the use of sustainable seasonal ingredients, too. Their strategy to keep us amused and in good spirits throughout, includes competitions, special offers, and raffles. They are even encouraging members and their families to send in drawings to keep us all connected and entertained.
Like us, we’re sure you’ll be looking forward to hearing more about the activities of the Victory Services Club as we all emerge from lockdown.
