Hospitality Assured accreditation provides foundations for exciting growth opportunity

Hospitality Assured accreditation is working well for a boutique B&B in Lyme Regis. The resilient structure and planning process arising from working with HA is providing the business with the ideal base and template for expansion.

Dorset House’s owners received their Hospitality Assured accreditation in 2021. As the smallest organisation to achieve the HA quality mark, it was obvious that more opportunities were on the menu. We are very happy to share Lyn and Jason’s news regarding their new business expansion.

In an interview for the magazine ‘Luxury BNB‘, Lyn said ‘“We received our Hospitality Assured accreditation at the end of last year. This means we have a really robust set of systems and processes that means we are less likely to take our eye off the ball.” This strong foundation has allowed them to look further afield, expanding into other areas of hospitality with their latest business venture: Poco Pizza. “You’ve got to consider how well your current business is set up and then look at adjacencies,” said Lyn.

The new acquisition is a perfect fit for Dorset House. Their breakfast menus are very popular and food is one of the core strengths. In addition, with a restaurant, Dorset House can keep more of their guest’s spend in-house. Poco Pizza attracts the same clientele and provides an additional dimension to their existing business. The lessons learnt from instigating successful plans at Dorset House are transferable to Poco Pizza giving Lyn and Jason a head start with this new outlet.

All at Hospitality Assured are looking forward to seeing Lyn and Jason reap more rewards. We have proudly watched them win so many well-deserved awards, recently. And it’s good to see how successfully Hospitality Assured works for small and micro businesses, as well as for multi-national organisations.
