Hospitality Assured Award for Service Resilience during Covid-19

A very special one-off award was presented during the Institute of Hospitality’s 2022 Annual Dinner and Awards held at the Hilton London Bankside. The Hospitality Assured reception area set the celebratory scene for the evening with a pre-dinner presentation made by Sam Coulstock FIH, Head of Professional Development at the Institute of Hospitality, to an immensely inspiring group of people. The Hospitality Assured Award for Service Resilience during Covid-19 was bestowed to say a massive thank you to the organisations and to recognise their amazing achievements and the tenacious dedication given to all their customers.

The teams within these organisations supported the most vulnerable elderly and young people in our society during the pandemic. Not only did they provide a service as ‘near to normal’ as possible but went above and beyond their line of duty putting their customers and residents first to keep them safe and meet their needs. Their stories were humbling and awe inspiring, demonstrating innovative approaches, resilience and tenacity in service delivery. Much learning from the pandemic is now informing their continuous improvement, future opportunities and the evolving landscape.

We are extremely proud of these organisations and it is always a pleasure to work with these dynamic teams.  The awards winners are:

Lancashire County Council School Meals – Premier accreditation

The Hawthorns – Avery Healthcare

Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Trust – Premier accreditation

TLC Care – Premier Accreditation

Morden College

Caring Homes
