· Rich Henderson, Royal Academy of Culinary Arts’ Annual Award of Excellence 2019
Hywel Jones, Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage at Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa, commented: ‘Myself, Chris Kidd and the entire Food and Beverage team at Lucknam Park are thrilled with the success that Ellie, Jamaar and Rich enjoyed in the recent Annual Awards of Excellence. The Awards are run by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and is one of the most prestigious titles a young hospitality industry professional can achieve. Their success is testament to not only their natural talent but to their hard work, dedication and commitment both during the lead up to and during the examination itself. The Annual Awards of Excellence is an examination rather than a competition, and the candidates can achieve the award based on their ability to reach the standard of excellence set by the judges. In addition, the candidate that scores the highest marks in each section is named the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts Young Chef, Young Pastry Chef and Young Waiter of the Year.
